These are Catalytic cracking units in which Ammonia is dissociated to Nitrogen and Hydrogen. Commercial grade liquid ammonia from cylinders or tank is used as feedstock. The Product gas has 75% Hydrogen and 25% Nitrogen. This gas is further purified in a Molecular Sieves unit by removing un-cracked Ammonia and moisture. Purified gas is then used in Heat treatment furnaces like Annealing, Sintering and as Reducing furnace atmosphere. It is widely used in Stainless steel and Carbon steel Bright Annealing. Investment in such Hydrogen gas generator is extremely low and also cost of Hydrogen produced is very low. The cracking furnaces are electrically heated or fuel fired type.

    The production of nitrogen gas from atmospheric air is based on Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) principle by adsorption of oxygen gas using a special grade of imported Carbon Molecular Sieves (CMS).

     

     

     

    Atmospheric air is compressed by an Air Compressor and cooled to ambient temperature passing through Refrigerated Type Air Dryer or heat exchanger.  Further this compressed air is passed through a series of multi stage filters for removal of dust / moisture / oil particles. This treated compressed enters to Air receiver tank where condensate is removed from its bottom with help of electronic timer based automatic moisture drain valve. This receiver takes care of pressure pulsations arises due fluctuating air demand of PSA system.

     

    Now, compressed air is free from moisture, dust particles, oil aerosols enters to twin tower PSA module packed with special grade of carbon molecular sieves and Activated Alumina, which has a 1+1 minute time cycle. One tower is switched on to adsorption while the other is simultaneously regenerated by depressurization to atmospheric and impurities are vented to atmosphere. Impurities are nothing but oxygen rich air and hence not harmful to anyone.

     

    The entire operation, which is totally automatic, is controlled by a sequence programmer and quick change over valves. Product nitrogen gas of designed purity flows to a surge vessel to balance the fluctuations in pressure and concentration.

     

    Now the Nitrogen gas of 99.99% purity at a pressure 5kg/cm2g can be stored in a storage tank of desired geometric volumes. After that Nitrogen Booster will boost the Nitrogen Gas Pressure to 15Kg/cm2g and store in high pressure Nitrogen Receiver Tank.

     

    This system is fully automatic and need not any special operator for operation. Once it is started it generates Nitrogen at constant flow rate and at constant pressure.

    Nitrogen Gas Generators produces Nitrogen gas from atmospheric air by PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) Technology. PSA Technique is a simple & reliable process of separation of Nitrogen from compressed atmospheric air by adsorption of oxygen over a bed of Carbon Molecular Sieves (CMS).     The principle of operations:
    Oxygen Gas Generators are based on the PSA technology. A special grade of synthetic Zeolite, known as molecular sieves is used to separate oxygen from atmospheric air. Oxygen generator consists of two adsorption vessels, filled with molecular sieves are alternately charged with compressed air up to 5 bar pressure. Nitrogen is absorbed and enriched oxygen flows to the surge tank. After the adsorption cycle, one bed is depressurized to atmospheric pressure, thereby evacuating nitrogen and sieve bed gets regenerated completely by counter current oxygen flow from the other bed.
